Question Transfer steam

I just purchased a 2tb M.2 drive for my pc. My daughter downloaded Steam and a bunch of games onto my C drive.
I want to transfer all of her stuff to the M.2 yet still have the steam icon on my desktop to open it. Is this possible?

Moving Steam games is a function available directly in the Steam client.

(steps may have changed since I wrote this, but the basics...)
To move an already installed game

Games library
Right click the game
Properties
Local Files
Move Install Folder

It's called Installed Files now instead of Local Files, but other than that exactly the same.

Yes, Steam is the one launcher that makes this almost ridiculous easy. There are some tricks for the others.
