Is there another alternative to transferring/syncing my mp3 files into my Ipod.
What I do now is drag/drop files from Limeware apps into Itunes.
Itunes sync my mp3 files into Ipod. iTunes is one heavy over-sized application for what it does. It can only play a limited number of audio formats and limited video playback formats.
I heard Winamp Lite media play is an alternative to move & sync files into Ipod. Will this work?

I am using windows 8 and have the Ipod shuffle 2GB (4th generation).
Thanks.
TC.

Hi Tomx2,

I've been using Winamp for a number of years for my Ipod Nano and it works fine. While I don't sync with it, you can do so. It's a great player too. You'll need the Nullsoft ipod plugin, which I believe is already installed. If not just grab it and you're set.

This is the Op who ask the original question.
I did find an alternative while waiting for an answer to my question.
The software I use is Copytran Manager. It does everything except it support
voice recognition.

If u use Ipod shuffle, u are aware when each playlist is assign a (voice) number. i.e. 1,2,3...
depending on how many playlist you assigned per record group.
However, after syncing copytrans with my Ipod playlists, all my playlists are assigned the number 0. It is very difficult to skip to a particular playlist quickly. The software group supporting copytran are aware of this but have no future plans to correct the problem.

Do any of the alternatives you recommended above support voice recognition?

thanks.
TC.

Hi Shubham.

Just want to touch base with your solution.
I should convert all my 200+ mp3 songs on my hard drive to OGG format using a converter.
This should be done in Explorer.

Then Copy/Paste the 200+ OGG files to my Ipod shuffle.

Question:
How do I insert playlists with my ogg files and have them streamline verbally on my Ipod.

thanks
