Question Transfering Metro Exodus to another computer

So I bought Metro Exodus online from Epic Games 'website since it wasnt available in steam anymore (removed for some reason).

I'm used to backing up and restoring games in steam however there is no such option in their software so I'd like to know if there was a way to transfer the game to my laptop instead of downloading 40 GB worth of data again.

Just start downloading a bit of it soo that the launcher creates the folder with game data, quit the launcher, then copy the game folder to the "folder" that was downloading, launcher should detect it and verify.
