I want to add my ssd to my new pc build and if possible I want to use the same os, I know there would be a problem if i just add the ssd as it is, since it contains the drivers form the old pc. Is there any way I can make this work?

if you want to move windows from one PC to another, and it was previously an upgrade from win 7 or 8, do this before and after moving it - Reactivating win 10 on new hardware

It might work fine or it might throw a stack of errors at you based on drivers.

You can try but I would backup anything on drive you want to keep, just in case you need to fresh install. download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB,, just in case you need to clean install

if you do, when you reach the screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and then once you installed, do 2nd part of link above to reactivate install

On the screen where you choose where to...

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it still gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will accept next on that screen this time (some PC just need a restart here)
