Transferring data between an SSD and a HDD

I just recently bought an SSD, a Crucial 500 GB MX200 SSD.My HDD is a Seagate 500 gb hard drive...
I was wondering if I would be able to transfer everything over to my SSD and use it as my primary drive, being the same size.
I was reading up on it and I read that it would have been difficult to do so because usually the SSD you buy is smaller than the HDD

Yes you can. I assume you want to clone the HDD to the SSD.

I would personally do a clean install but the option to clone is available to you. Yes you would clone the whole drive to the SSD.
