Hello,i just got a new computer with Win 7,and searched how to transfer files from my old computer(which is using Windows XP) where it said sharing them over LAN is best solution.But after i tried several thing it still doesn't work.
I did get my old computer to show on network list on Win 7 but it says "Make sure that computer or device is connected to network"when i try share the files.So i guess network is the problem now,which is weird considering it should work..I have ADSL modem router where two computers are connected and it did work in the past
Aside from that what else can i do to quickly share files from one computer to another without having to manually transfer them with dvd's/usb which would take a while....and not buy external hdd.
