Transferring GPU to New PC

I apologize if this is a dumb question...

Anyways my current computer that I have now that I built myself iv'e had it for 2 years now crapped out and isn't running I can't turn it on at all. I'm planning on building another PC now with parts that I think work hopefully from this one and the GPU is one of them. I have a 980 ti by the way. My question is transferring my GPU to the new system as simple as just taking it out of the old system and slapping it into the new one, or do I have to uninstall anything driver wise? That would be a problem if i had to uninstall anything since my computer won't turn on.

You dont have to uninstall anything.
Take the card out, install it in your new PC, install windows. Once you have windows, you will need to install drivers for the card.

One thing to consider, do you know why the computer won't work? You wouldn't want to waste time troubleshooting the new computer because it turns out you are trying to reuse the part that caused the first computer not to work.

I'm not sure exactly why my computer isn't working but I don't think it's a GPU problem I think it's something wrong with either my motherboard, PSU, or CPU. All I'm transferring is my GPU and storage.
