Hi,

I currently have Win 10 + apps/software on a Kingston SSD. I would like to build a new computer and install one of those new Samsung NVMe SSDs as my primary drive for the Win 10 OS.

How do you go about copying/mirroring my current Win 10 install on the Kingston SSD and transfer/migrate it over to the new NVMe drive? Anyone have any links to a good guide on this?

There are those who say this can be done successfully. I am not one of them. In the long run, you will be more successful and happier if you just do a clean install of the OS onto your shiny new m.2 (make bloody sure the motherboard you get supports boot from the m.2). Yes this will require you to reload all your apps, but just think, these are getting a shiny new clean install themselves. It's a pain, but your computer and OS will thank you for it.

Please, please don't clone, or I suspect you'll be back here wanting to know what went wrong.

And remember, ALWAYS BACKUP EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU START!!!
