I am trying to output 4k 4:2:0 from my PC to my TV for watching movies. They require 9m of cable if directly wired. Currently I can only get 1080p displaying on my TV with my current 10m High Speed HDMI Cable. The cable could be cut down to 8m (25') at a push if I routed it under the carpet.

How do I get 4K 4:2:0 (or even 4:4:4 if possible) at 60Hz to my TV from my computer? I would happily try something other than buying twenty cables until I find one that works. Anyone who has managed this I would be grateful if you shared your setup.

I have read in a few forums that some have managed with certain cables (with mixed results for the same cable). Has anyone had any luck with wireless systems?

I am far too cheap to pay for an optic fibre solution.

My setup -

TV
- Samsung UE40MU6120
- HDMI 2.0b (No, I couldn't find that from the manufacturer but the TV does support HLG which I believe is not necessarily supported by HDMI 2.0a)

PC
- Graphics Card Asus DUAL-GTX1060-O6G
- HDMI 2.0b

I guess I got lucky. If anyone comes across this looking for tips then the cable I got is here. The page spouts the usual nonsense about gold connectors etc. It also mentioned that they were lab tested to 17.8 Gigabit and the seller "guarantees" that it delivers 4k.

... And now I have 4k 4:4:4 @60Hz over a 10m (30') cable for GBP14.00 which is more than I hoped for for less than I had budgeted. I know it's a bit of a lottery but good luck if you do want to give it a try.

The AVS Forum thread is one that I have had a look through. As I still haven't found anything better than "try a bunch of cables until one works" I have started with lower priced cables the seller "guarantees" 4k at 10m. I figure with big promises and UK consumer laws the most I will be out is the return postage if the cables don't measure up.
