Hello,

I am sending a SandyBridge chip through the post. I wondered what is the best way to package this in terms of ESD etc.

Thanks,

Assuming you don't have the original packaging, I'd pop it in an antistatic bag then pack it in a box with foam (the soft spongey type often used for hard drive packaging) around it.

Intel BGA-type chips are so much easier to ship than AMD PGA ones, which have easily-bent pins and really need to be plugged into high-density antistatic foam to protect them.
