'Trash Killer 2' p1ss poor gaming

Downloaded Kraisoft's 'Trash Killer 2' freeware a while ago and it is
definitely worth what I paid for it.

It looked promising at first, like a fairly addictive, good old shoot 'em
up, but trouble is, it is jerky / screen image keeps freezing, there is no
smoothness to the gaming experience.

OK so I 'only' have an AMD Duron 1600 processor with 512 MB Ram and a UDMA
100 hard disk, but I remember playing pretty much the same game in 1990, on
an Atari ST with a then very decent 70 Hz screen, albeit in black & white.
The Atari had 1 MB Ram (compared to my current 512) and in terms of raw MIPS
performance the Duron outperforms the 15 year old Atari processor by several
hundredfold also I would have thought.

I've checked my PC with Sisoft Sandra and everything works just fine, disk
performance, memory timings etc. everything working fine as far as a low
budget 'trailing egde' PC goes.

So, why is the gaming experience so very, very sh1te ???

Is it maybe down to poor programming? Needless read / writes to the hard
disk, that sort of thing?

My PC ought to be able to run the programme in Ram many times over I would
have thought.

Any ideas how to speed this Kraisoft program up to the level of 15 year old
Atari shareware?

If its Freeware you shoulden't have paid for it!

hm.. my first post is broken...

well, i quess you need to check video driver, because on my old 750 Mhz
machine game work fine.
