News Treat Yourself to the Best Value 4TB Gen 4 SSD for Only 4 Cents per GB: Real Deals

The 2TB version of the drive hits the 4 cents per GB mark, or, really, the thinnest hair under, at $79.97.

At $169.99, the 4TB is a tiny fraction over the 4-cents/GB mark.

For me, I might go for the bigger drive, without necessarily needing it, if it offered the better bang/buck. But, in this case, the 2TB takes the sweet-spot prize... assuming you don't need more than that, of course.

Silicon Power UD90 user reviews are saying they changed the parts, and that it doesn't perform anywhere near what was claimed when it launched.
Correct, I got caught. So I get almost 4700 MB/s read. But decays to 2860 MB/s quickly due to temp being almost 55'c.
4000 MB/s write, which drops quickly to 1580 MB/s at 55'c.
The temperature come from the SMART data via HWINFO64, yet the SP Toolbox software reads 38'c.

Feeling a little ripped off, but due to the waste of time reinstalling or imaging the system, I have to live with it.
Buyer beware.
