While trying to get cookies to work (you guys told me how to fix), I found
there was an Updater 1.2 for the Treo 600.
I downloaded and unzipped, then ran Treo600SprintUpdater1.20. When I got to
the part where it said to make sure the battery was fully charged, I
cancelled the installation...even though the battery said fully charged I
figured I'd wait until the next morning to be sure.
This morning, with a fully charged battery, I pressed the HotSync button
prior to running the install program again, but when I did, the update
began. I patiently waited until the update was complete, and when it was, I
was required to press the button for a 'reset'.
After the reset, I find all my user info missing -- contacts, favorites,
installed programs etc.
It appears all I need to do now, is to HotSync again...but how do I know
that what's in the phone now, won't overwrite the info from the last
HotSync, and I'll lose that data all-together (like I did in my SPH I300 in
it's final days)? Can I make copies of those latest HotSync files so I have
a backup of that data? If so, which files are they?
Also, how do I know if I need an SD chip? Would the chip enhance performance
even if I didn't really need the additional memory?
