Hi All, I am looking for a laptop that can output to 2 external displays and have the internal monitor running to give me 3 outputs.

I am looking to replace some old desktops in our company and the users currently have dual displays. Instead of replacing one of these with a laptop screen I would like to add the laptop screen enabling maximum real-estate.

The Intel HD chips in all the laptops I have looked at thus far support 3 displays but in practice and research I have found that all 3 are detected but you cannot extend to all 3, 2 are mirrored.

My budget is around £600 but ideally I don't want to spend more than £500. The desirable display outputs would be VGA and HDMI.

Thanks!

Read, and try, the methods described further down the page on this article. Most laptops CAN display to all three displays, if done correctly. I have yet to find a modern laptop that has both VGA and HDMI outputs that cannot extend to both displays rather than just duplicate. I know for a fact that the current families of Lenovo and HP Envy are capable. At least, all the models I've come across.

Another option may be a USB display adapter that uses an available USB port and adapts to a variety of different monitor inputs including HDMI, DVI and VGA. There are a ton of them and you'll have to do a bit of research to see what will or will not work with your configurations...

There are a wide variety of them out there:
