One day, while skipping through the forest, I heard the voice of "M.W.H"
<mapson_no@hotmail.com> coming from a tree, and thought, "Man, this is f*ed
up," but carried on the following conversation anyway:

Obviously it's not the final.

I knew that fileplanet of mine account would eventually be useful for
something :)

I played for about 30 min or so it's missing something. Maybe I have to get
use to it. The heavy needs one more weapon slot(all classes have only 3).
It's still really buggy(I know it a beta) For some reason you stick to the
floor. You have to use your jumpjets to move. What do the rest of you
think?

I agree. The graphics don't seem as "solid". You can tell it's by the same
guys who wrote Freedom Force - the look and feel is very similar. The
player models look awful - just like they were lifted straight from a
cartoon.

I don't seem to get the feeling that I am flying with a jetpack - more like
playing Doom with the "noclip" cheat - and "skiing" seems to have lost the
"art". The weapons don't seem as immediate and everything has a very
console feel to it.

They seem to have tried to simplify some bits - such as same weapons slots
for all classes and yet complicated others. As far as I could tell, the
"preselection" that was one of the best improvements in T2 over T1 has
gone - granted you can press shift and select a preconfigured, a noob is far
more likely to clog the stations up selecting gear.

I haven't seen any vehicles as yet, but I am not expecting great things
here. As far as I can tell, these spawn a la BF1942 - you can't order them
up as in Tribes 1&2.

It's not disappointing, because I didn't expect anything from this. I will
not, however, be buying this game.

Oh dear. Well, it *is* the beta afterall. Not having the time or wherewithall
to d/l it and check it out myself right now, I'll keep reading the reviews and
crossing my fingers.
Thanks for your first impressions, fellas!

I can say that after a couple of more days of playing my game awareness is
getting better, and it is starting to feel a little more like tribes as I
get used to it. I will be playing it. Inventory system is getting easier
to use and the voice binds are hilarious.

The same here. The more I play the more I like it. I really like the way
the repair packs works, You can repair more than one thing at a time. If
you set a deployable repair pack it will repair everything in range(turret,
people, stations, etc...) automaticly. And if you use your repair pack it
fixes you and eveything around you and does'nt use any of jet pack energy.
You are right the voice binds are great. I will be getting it when it comes
out. I cant wait to see the mods and maps people come up with.

This makes it sound promising.
