Alright so today I upgraded my cpu and figured might as well add an ssd also. I installed the ssd then went on to clone the files (my whole hdd) using macrium reflect. Went into the bios and set my ssd as the boot drive. It wont boot. Also for some reason my bios only lets me select the ssd if I have it set to "windows 7 / other". When I try to run it on windows 10 it switches from legacy to uefi and won't let me select the ssd. I checked and my sata is set to ahci. I disconnected my hdd and tried to make it boot of the ssd but it gave me an error. I also updated all of my motherboard divers. I just dont understand because I cloned my ENTIRE hdd. I'm starting to think it might be the PNY 240gb I bought. Though this was going to be an easy upgrade but that's never the case.

I don't have an option to in my bios for boot manager, but when I manually make it try to boot from my ssd this boot manager page comes up.

Yeah I might just format my drives and re download everything if I cant fix it tonight.

A quirk I have run into in the past is that sometimes an SSD, if it's a SATA SSD, will only boot if it's connected to one particular port on the motherboard. So if, for instance, the motherboard has six SATA ports, there might be one that'll allow the SSD to be the boot drive. This is regardless of the boot order you set in bios. I discovered that by simply connecting the SSD to the right port, it works fine.

Which port depends on the motherboard. The obvious first choice would be the port that was being used for the mechanical hard drive when it was the boot drive.

Just tried unplugging my hard drive then plugged my ssd into each sata port and still got the same message :(
