Today I bought new ram for my rig. I'm running a sabertooth 990fx gen 1 with an amd 8120 cpu. Also have a 4g 960 and a 700(ish?) Watt psu.
My issue is that I bought ram today, 2x8 of ddr4 2400, and realized when I tried to install that my mobo only will run up to 1833 ram. So I put the old sticks back in and now the tower will run, but no bios, screen display, or mouse/keyboard lighting. I've tried resetting CMOS by using the memok button, I've tried both of my old 4 gig sticks together and alone in every slot, and I've also removed/reinserted the mobo battery to manually reset CMOS. I've looked around the forums and most are solved by resetting CMOS through the battery method, but I'm still stuck. Any ideas?
