Hey so earlier i tried to overclock my CPU from 3.2 GHz to 3.4 GHz using my motherboards OC tool in the bios. So i went to CPU/NB and set it to 3400 MHz (3.4 GHz)
and clicked the option to run the OC tuner which is SUPPOSED to restart the Computer with the new clock speed but when it started up, the fans were running, the HDD was spinning and the LED lights were all on but it didnt give me the normal startup beep that tells me it started up, the monitor read " no signal " and then shut itself off and the only thing going on was my headphones LED lights were glowing but nothing else was getting any power. What want to know is, is my processor broken, and if not, what is and can i fix it?
System
- AMD Phenom II x4 955
- ASUS M4A89GTD Pro
- Nvidia GTX 1060
- 2 sticks of DDR3 1333 MHz 4GB Ram
- Typical Stock Fan (came with processor)
- 467GB HDD
- 800 Watt PSU
- (dont know what the wireless module is, but its brand new and works fine...)
Note - im not a pc builder, i had somebody build this for me
please respond as soon as possible
