Question Tried using my DVD optical drive no display

So basically what the title says.... I have a new motherboard but a year or two older components such as the cpu and gpu.. I built everything so far so good and it post with display and everything but the time I tried hooking up my DVD optical drive It didnt have display, I put my SSD on SATA 1 and the DVD drive besides it but it didn't have display. also the issue with the drive is that it is some sort of jammed or it is not opening the tray when I press the button

My setup is:
Ryzen 5 2600
Asus TUF B450m II PRO (this is brand new)
GTX 1660
TFORCE TUF Gaming Alliance 8 GB (2x Sticks)
Corsair VS550

Probably dead.
Do you still need to use DVD drive? For what purpose?

There are these little hidden buttons below the open button or somewhere near it. It's really tiny and you need a tiny piece of wire or one of those needles that come with smartphones for the simcard tray to push them. They should eject the tray if power is connected even when the pc is not doing much else than booting or so. If that doesn't work either, the dvd drive might really be broken.
