Triggered by WD Black

Hey guys, so I've got a 2 TB WD Black hard drive, that makes this noise once every few seconds it sounds like the disk is active but no HDD light goes on in my case, just every few seconds I hear this Churn sound. Whats interesting is that if i Actually use the drive for something it goes away.
This is just a back up drive with nothing that cant be replaced its just the noise is triggering me. It passes the WD Diagnostic utility so I dont think its going bad or anything. I feel like its done this before and stopped eventually but it can make this noise for days on end. Ive heard the term preventative care being used but im unsure if that applies to this drive or any hard drive in general.
If anyone can chime in id be happy to hear from them.

Had one which did the same.

It made 16314 hours before it failed.

I think some just do it.

The are some WD Representatives that float around on here so i'm sure they'll be able to give you a better answer.

weather it going to be a issue or not or may go a day or 5 years all ways do regular backup's . if you feel you may have a issue do the backing up a bit more regular
