hi guys,
i kind of have a trillema; you see the thing is my old 1gb hd 7850 died a few days ago and now the shop in which i bought it offered to give me a new card in the similar pricing range as it was when i bought it. My choices are 260x/360 or 750 (non ti)
Now most people say that 260x is obviously the winner but im looking at benchmarks and 750 beats 260x on almost every if not every game. Not to mention the huge bioshock advantage nvidia gpus have, but regardless of bioshock it steal beats the 260x by a frame or two every time. Also whats with the 360? I understand its a rebranded 260 but again the benchmarks show that it is faster by a small percentage than the 750, which has proven to be faster than the 260x
what do you think guys
whats the best choice?
also the 260x is the asus 2gb oced ed
which many people had problems with
literally every newegg review is bad
keep in mind that i dont have a budget so please try not to recommend cards since im pretty sure im stuck with these ones

750 is the same or inferior (depending on the game) than the 360/260. The 260X competes with the 750 Ti.

Of those three, the 260X is the best, and it's still inferior to the 7850.

Flip a coin. There really isn't a tremendous difference between the three. I'd probably go with the GTX 750 just for a few Nvidia specific driver features I like (particularly adaptive vertical sync). As Creme said though, your old card is faster (about 10-15%) so you'll notice less performance in your games. Does he have any option closer to the HD 7850 you can afford?

thanks for the replies guys!
i also wanted to go for the 750 for awhile because i havent had a nvidia card since like 2007. ; but im guessing from cremes reply that performance wise it really is the slowest of the bunch
what about the 360 though vs the 260x? is the fact that it came out a month ago (meaning it has native dx12 support i guess? and probably some other new hefty tech features) worth over the performance gap between the two?
i saw a video review of the 360 and it performed quite nice
on par with the 260x and the 750 ti i would say
btw jeffredo concering your question
unfortunately no, the next gpu would be the 370 which i would have to pay another circa 75 usd for
which i dont have now and i need my pc for work
