Hy people! I have two questions for you. My Mobo is an Asrock Z97 Extreme4, the processor is i7 4770 with 16GB of RAM, running Windows 8.1. I intend to install 2 SSD drives in RAID 0 in two SATA ports of the Z97 Chipset, and run single SATA drives in the other ports in AHCI mode. 1) Is it possible, or once RAID is configured in the Mobo UEFI all SATA ports will necessarily be in RAID mode? 2) Is there TRIM support for this RAID 0 SSD array? Thank you.

That's good news. Try it and see. If performance starts tanking, you can always trim the ssd manually. Make sure you have the latest MB BIOS and the latest SSD firmware.

Most ssd manufacturers have tools that will optimize their SSD's. Samsung's magician software is really good. I currently use System Mechanic and it recognizes my ssd and will optimize it and will suggest an optimization every 2 weeks. Sometimes I just do it manually after cleaning up all the garbage on the ssd.
