I am planning on building a new pc within the near future and I have no max budget. I plan two run two Zotac Amp! Extreme 1080 Ti's in SLI. I also plan to get a 7700k for the build. With these components, would it be possible to run triple 4k monitors on current games with high settings? The monitors I plan to get are 3x Acer Predator XB271HK. Ideally if I had this pc now I would want it to run Prey on max settings. Is this realistic?

A single 1080Ti just about manages 4k @ 60fps. Sli even in the most optimised games only increases performance by no more than 80% but usually a lot less. Therefore 2x1080Ti won't be great for 2x4k let alone 3x4k. Your much better off going 3x1440p 144Hz IMO.

I have basically the same set up as OP except I’m waiting to get the X35 QHD UW 35” when it comes out. It will have 200HZ refresh, but when I ran fire strike in SLI, my physics test Rambo at only ~40 FPS.

Does that mean the 7700k won’t Be good enough to keep up with the GPU(which got 200fps in its test)?
