Hey guys, new member here. I apologize if this is in the wrong section firstly.

My question is this, I currently run a i7-2600k on a gigabyte GA-z68ma-D2h-b3, with a GTX 570 (012 p3 1571 b1, 1280mb version)

I render a lot of 3D animations and also run a lot of game programs at once (it's strange but,I like to watch characters move and react with physics as references whilemaking my own)

I'm in need of am upgrade and was wondering, is it worth it to run 3 GTX 570s (I can buy them from friends for 50 dollars each) or should I just sell my GTX and invest in a brand new card?

My budget is only 250

Solution

Actually the 570 is quite old now, firstly it consumes a lot of power delivering old performance and yes from my point of view...

Thanks for the reply, do you think you can explain to me the difference? It seems like cpu bosses comparison of them doesn't show any great great difference?

Edit: also, for what I'm doing, do you recommend I just upgrade my cpu? Or should I get a 760 and then overclock my.2600k? (then purchase liquid cooling)

First of all, performance difference is less but the 700 series from nvidia is futureproof and secondly,Fermi cards like the 570 consumes a lot of power
