So i was building a cheap-o PC but I decided I didn't want a MacBook quite yet so I have a ton more budget room. Price doesn't matter too much. Let's not go over board tho. Let's try to keep around $2k.

So, quick explanation of this build. Expensive parts, monitors and peripherals. Cheap cpu and GPU. I'll upgrade to an i7 and high end card next year sometime. Things I'd like to not be changed are the peripherals, headset or case. Need some 27"+ triple monitors with really good picture. 500GB SSD. Wifi card that can pull gigabit wifi (Google Fiber 😀), silent fans would be preferred. So modern games 3x1080P at medium 40+fps would be great for now.

If you want a water cooler you need to go big or go home. Anything below an H100i is considered useless in comparison to air coolers. I would get the H100i or H220x if you want a water cooler. And for air coolers I would get any of these:

No need for thermal paste. 99% of coolers come with it pre applied or in a little tube.

So if we are going down the ultra quiet road. Everything looks good so far. I have heard GPU makes some of the most noise. Should I not worry about this or get a water cooler for the GPU? Or would good case airflow keep the fan from taking off like a jet engine? And sorry, forgot to mention I want a semi/full modular PSU. I'm a big cable management guy.

If you are worried about noise that much get the 750 ti strix. And then get the 970 STRIX when you upgrade
