Hi Everyone,
I have been trying for the past few hours to get three monitors to work with my MSI GT70. I have two external monitors connected using the VGA and HDMI ports on the back of the computer, and I would like to have them on with my laptop display in the middle. The website for the laptop itself says that this is supported, the Intel website for the HD 4000 says that this is supported, and yet it does not work. I opened the Intel control panel and only got the choice of using 2 displays. I am using windows 7. Any help is appreciated.
Adding all 3 displays in the screen resolution settings returns the error "unable to save display settings". I have even tried doing this in Ubuntu, which gives the error "could not set the configuration for CRTC" or something like that.
I know that both graphics cards in my system support this (Intel HD 4000 and Nvidia gt675m) however I was wondering if the problem might be solved by forcing use of the Nvidia graphics card. Any thoughts about this?
