I just got this VisionTek card model #900530 with only 500MB. It is an older card from 2012 and the manufacturer has removed the specs from their website. Card comes with two dual link DVI-I ports and mini-displayport. I eventually would like to run 3 monitors (2 DVI - 1 DP) all at 2560x1440 resolutions. I have read that either AMD or VisionTek chokes the second DVI port to single link DVI. Further, if one of your DVI monitors is 2560x1440 then the 2nd DVI will be limited to 1280x1024. Can anyone confirm this?

Running the DP monitor at 2560x1440 should be no problem provided monitor has a DP connector. Just not sure about the maximum rez specs when also using two DVI monitors?

teh 5450 was never designed to handle 3 screens on its own. the first three screen on one card was the high end 5870 in the same generation as the 5450. 3 screens has dropped down to mid range cards now, but not on the 5450. It can handle 2 screens, at most.

have you ever heard of DisplayPort?

All 5450 cards with a DisplayPort can handle 3 screens! Heck, if you have a special adapter and daisy link 3 DP monitors to the card, then you can use just the DP port alone for 3 monitors on a 5450, so this card could actually do 5 monitors. I just don't know if the two DVI ports on my card will both do HD resolutions of 2560x1440 at the same time. Anyone else care to weigh in on this?
