"Triplex" 4850 DDR "4"

anyone heard about this card? how does it perform? should i get this over a palit 4850 Sonic (OCed) ddr3 for the same price? here in the philippines, palit is a trusted brand while triplex is a newcomer (unknown). warranty terms are the same.

ddr4 seems to be able to reach higher clocks. if you had plans to overclock the ram, you *might* be better with the ddr4. im only guessing tho.

gddr4 ram is essentially gddr3, but with a slightly manufacturing process, can achieve higher clocks. thats about it though. as far as the 4850 is conserned. gddr3 at about 1050/1100 area should be fine

so, a gddr4 is a 3 that can clock higher? how bout a gddr5, how does it differ from the 3 and 4?

GDDR4 would help a 4850, but I would only buy it if it isn't a significant price increase over the standard 4850.

so what would you get, an OCed(685 cc), brand trusted 4850 with gddr3, or a 625cc(stock), unknown brand 4850 with a gddr4? same price, same warranty.

Guess it depends on how hard it is to RMA in PI. Take the chance with an unknown? I'm not sure I would do that in your position. Does the card have reviews from enthusiasts/owners? In the US, I read a lot of reviews before I buy.

Unfortunately I have not heard of that brand before so I'm not sure I would trust it.

I have the ASUS TOP HD4850 512Mb DDR3 which is slightly overclocked and have had good success with it. I can run anything I throw at it at 1680X1050.

I find it hard to believe that it runs flawlessly. Full of crap IMO. but then again he didn't mention what he ran or how he ran it. A wishful think IMO. And I don't really care any more. And thanks for the kind words..... Troll

I have a friend who will throw in a card, loads a game and select optimize in the games control panel. Then when the game runs fine he thinks the cards great without utilizing any of the settings or even checking what the settings actually are.
