[Problem Description]
I dont get my new Intel Core i7-4790K -Processor to work, Tried troubleshooting alot of things and ended up testing it in the computer right after removing my older Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670 CPU - 3.4 GHz. It worked without a problem with the i5-4670 CPU - 3.4 GHz but did not work at all with the new Intel Core i7-4790K - 4GHz Quad-Core (BX80646I74790K). I am using it togheter with the ASUS H81M-C S-1150 M-ATX-motherboard, I did a BIOS update before changing the CPU, meaning that both before and after updating the bios did it work with the i5 and not with the new i7. Which should work as it is listed as compatible with the Intel Core i7-4790K - 4GHz Quad-Core (BX80646I74790K

Any ideas?

Worth noting that i sent the i7 back because i thought it was defect, but now with a new one its still the same problem.

Completely remove power from rear of CPU, remove GPU, connect monitor to mainboard's integrated video output...

FInd Clear CMOS switch or jumper, activate it for a few seconds, remove jumper (if applicable)

See if you get a POST display now....
If so, you can reinstall GPU

(WHo makes your mainboard? are you sure that new CPU is on the CPU support list?)

since your motherboard is compatible with the cpu,

how about downgrading the BIOS to version 2001
my friend have motherboard like you and 4790 cpu, it works just fine with the 2001 version
and he still does not update to newest BIOS since it works just fine

Thank you for taking your time and suggesting something! I will start with attempting this, fingers crossed!
