trouble after switching monitor output

So. After installing my gfx card I plugged it in via hdmi to my tv as my mates where over and they wanted to see the performance. After relocating my rig to my desk and plugging my monitor back in (to the onboard vga slot because I don't have a DVI-d cable yet and my monitor only has vga and dvi) I'm not getting any output. I can hear Windows boot. Can log in blind and have tried the keyboard shortcut to switch monitors. Still nothing. Any help? Is there a way to switch to onboard graphics blind so I can see what I'm doing until my dvi cable shows up?

I have a 4gb gtx770 but the monitor is plugged in to the onboard vga socket.
