Trouble booting after installing new PSU

I just installed a new power supply(from 650W to 850W) and when I turned on the PC in excitement, it refused to boot. It just went through this usual boot loop where it doesn't even get to the POST screen.
So I attempted a minimal boot and took out 2 of the memory sticks. Then it would boot to Windows 10 without any problem so I assumed it had something to do with power management settings on the motherboard.
So I decided to turn off the system and put the memory sticks back into the motherboard and tried booting again. Same boot loop problem occurs again, and even taking out the memory sticks this time would not solve anything.
So I decided to reset CMOS, something which somehow reverted my BIOS back to factory version for some reason(probably inserted the pin the wrong way)

After much frustrations, I finally got to the BIOS screen. However whenever I tried to boot to Windows 10, I got the black endless console prompt screen. So I decided to reinstall Windows 10 which is not much of a problem as all my valuable stuff is on 2 external HDDs
After doing that and flashing my BIOS, everything seemed to work fine after trying to reboot a few times to test.

So I went to bed last night, and when I woke up today and tried to turn on the PC? Same boot loop problem!
Now, after a few CMOS resets and inserting the sticks back, I am in Windows 10. But sometimes, after a CMOS reset, whenever I turn on PC, it is unable to reach the POST screen and reboots, but after that reboot it proceeds past BIOS without any problem. I am also notified "memory setting have changed" and prompted whether to run setup or load system defaults, the latter which I did as the former would just result in a boot loop. I haven't bothered with changing BIOS settings at all due to the risk of entering a boot loop again.
I also won't try on my own anymore and won't restart the PC until a genuine solution is posted here.
So atleast the PC does somehow work totally fine outside of this but there's probably some settings that are "broken" or something.
The MB is an MSI P67A-GD65 B3. I had a similar problem when I bought more RAM but it was quickly solved

What's the problem and how can I fix it?
