Hi, I have a A7M266 mobo with 1600+ cpu running at default speed. I am having trouble getting into windows, with always the BSOD coming up. Here are my specs

A7M266 MOBO
2 Sticks of Micron memory
WD Hard disk
Swiftech 462 Delta EHE Fan
300 Watt PowerMAN PSU
SB Live
3 Com Nic
GF2 MX

VCore 1.85
3.3v: 3.23
5V: 5.02
12V: 11.61

Cpu Temp: 42.5
Motherboard temp: 28C

I've pulled out the SB Live, 3Com Nic cd-rom cd-recorder drives off. I ran the computer with only the cpu, mem, vid card, and hard disk. I still experience the BSOD and am not able to get into windows.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

is this over clocked? what does the blue screen say? tried different sticks of ram? is this a fresh install or an old install with a new motherboard?

not overclocked
The BSOD varies. Sometimes it will say MRP_COMPLETE_REQUEST or something else.
I tried 3 different sticks of ddr ram and they all amount to the same problem.

I have reformatted and installed up to about 5 or 6 different oses. They all had problems booting up. Some OS installation did not even complete.

1. run MEMTEST86 to rule in/out memory problems. does it turn up clean?
then get back to us

Well if you have tried all that RAM etc, you are looking at the motherboard, or more likely the power supply.

Yeah, your motherboard could be FUBAR. I had a problem with my mother board that made it corrupt data on the hdisk and even the cdrom(was displayed corrupted). When i'd try and install any application i'd get errors saying certain directories and files couldn't be found on the cdrom. Take the board back and tell em its faulty.
