trouble building my rig

hey guys just needed to ask the community one last question before i get down to my build ....

how do i save all my hardware (mobo,cpu,ram,etc) from electrostatic discharge?

i've read all about using esd bands and mats but is there any other way?

Being barefoot should help. (Discharges constantly into the floor) Also, always touch the PSU whenever you leave the rig for more than a minute.

With the PSU screwed in and plugged in (BUT NOT ON), just touch the case one in a while.

And don't build on carpet. A clean dry surface.
