Trouble finishing move of OS from HDD to SSD

Today I used Samsung's migration software to move my OS from my HDD to my SSD. While that was successful it did not remove the OS from the HDD so now I have 2 copies of my OS. Also when I try to choose my SSD as the first thing to boot in my PC I am told to reboot with a valid boot option. Basically, how do I wipe my HDD without touching my SSD and how do I select my SSD as my primary boot drive in the BIOS. This is for Windows 10.

You can go into your BIOS and choose your SSD as the first boot option. Then when logged into your SSD OS you can format/partition your old HDD so that the old data/OS is off of it.

You can format/partition the old drive with using the disc management tool in windows. RIGHT click your Windows 10 start button and you will see the option in the menu.

To get into BIOS, normally you have to hit F2 or F10 or F12 or ESC key.

This is the issue I have, I have to select my boot mode as Legacy + UEFI to even get the option to choose my SSD as a boot option and when I do my PC gets just past the BIOS option and tells me to choose a valid boot drive. I know that my HDD is still being used to load my PC because it will not let me format my HDD as I get a message saying "You cannot do this because it containss the version of windows you are using". When checking task manager my HDD is working very hard whereas my SSD is at 1%.

the cloning might have failed somewhere(?). You could try taking your hdd out, leave just the SSD in, and configuring your PC/BIOS from that point. Then, once logged in, attach your old HDD through an external and wipe it. I hope this helps, perhaps someone with more knowledge will come on and answer. Sorry, this is the best i can do.
