Trouble installing windows 7

When uprgrading my vista pc with win 7, its runs through the installation ok. But when it nears the end of this process i get a blank screen, of which i left for over an hour.After this time i reboot my machine only to be told that win 7 has been unsucessful and is reverting back to my vista setup.Any help would be welcome. Thanks

Maybe try the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if you have any incompatible software or hardware that could somehow interfere with the process. if all else fails, bite the bullet and do a clean install.

I've seen this happen before and all I did was do the install again and it worked.

here is an idea,

backup all important data and then do a clean install of windows 7
