Trouble Loading OS

Hello everyone,

I've been working on my computer for a while now and it's getting frustrating. About 3 weeks ago the mobo or cpu died, so I ended up picking up a asus z97-ar and intel i5 4690k. Threw then into my rig and it restarted at windows load screen every time I tried to install. Here's the rest of the specs:
GTX-660ti
kingston 250gb ssd
corsair CX600M PSU (2nd psu, replacing 500M. both less than 6 mo old)
2x4g kingston hyper-x ram

everything is less than 6 months old. I have tried another hard drive, integrated graphics on a different mobo, and several different windows iso's. Currently windows loads but crashes when I open internet explorer to dl drivers or run windows update.

I cannot figure this out. I'm down to bad RAM, another faulty mobo (unlikely?), or a bad 2 week old processor. I've also tried one stick of RAM at a time. One crashed while trying to boot windows and the other one got me to where I am now (restarting when doing anything in windows.)

No BSOD on any of the restarts. Automatic restart on error is unchecked in windows.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I have tried several ISO's. One was a rip on a USB. The current one is a legit ISO on a dvd.

I did try this. Currently only 1 stick of RAM in the system. I got Windows going and my mobo drivers loaded, but now it restarts like before (still only one stick of RAM). I will try putting the other stick in and see if i can get some Windows updates going. The restart without BSOD is unsettling though.

I have not. I just loaded the drivers off of the ASUS install CD. I can try getting drivers and BIOS off of the website when I get home tonight and report back to you.

Hey I updated the BIOS on my mobo and it may have fixed some problems. Windows is not installed and drivers are updated. Now I'm going through the windows updates. Still only one stick of RAM. When I put the other one in I have boot issues. Turns out my mobo version didn't support my CPU, so hopefully the update gets rid of the restarts.

I will keep you updated and thank you for the help
