Trouble shutting down win2k

When shutting down windows 2000, my computer seems to be shutting down but then stops with a blank screen. The power will not shut off and I must hit the reset button then the power button to shut the computer off.

Before this problem started my computer would power off at shutdown. I can't figure out what happened.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting would be appreciated.

2x256 MB Crucial registered ECC DDR
60GB IBM 60 GPX
Gainward GF3
SB Live Value
Antec 830sx Case

I've got the same problem. I unplugged my USB hub and the problem was solved. Now I need to figure out how to get the software and hub to play nicely together. Any suggestions?

That could be it. I did recently install an external USB hub.

anyone else have a similer problem?

Mine does the same [-peep-] with my DVD decoder card installed. Win2K has a few hardware contentions I think.
