Trouble starting settlers 3 on windows 7

Hello,
i have tried to find a solution to my problem but have not yet seemed to. I have recently tried . to install settlers 3 onto my pc,which is running windows 7, and tried to boot it but it wont. I was wondering if there is a solution i could use to make settlers 3 boot up.

Hello chloee,

It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibilty.)

There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".
There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!
As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.
Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and support.

Have you verified that the application your are trying to install is indeed compatible with Windows 7? The best resource to verify compatibility is available at the Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center located at the following link: http://bit.ly/1gW6Ns and can be used for both hardware and software concerns.

Hi Chloe, did you ever find out if the settlers 3 would run on windows 7 as I am having the same problem as you.

Mell119 i have not managed to get settlers 3 to work as i have tried to change settings to allow it to work but the game doesnt boot properly ill try again but am not sure if its compatable with windows 7, as within the windows 7 compatability enter the 3rd settlers doesnt come up in the search only the 6th one.
