trouble taking write protection off

i cant format or put things on my sandisk sd card it keeps saying disk write protected?? i already checked the switch and it is in the unlock position i also tried to change the permissions to all access but nothing seems to be working.... can you please help me????

is this brandnew? can you reformat it? consider returning it back and have a new one
