Getting no display on monitor(Samsung B1930) connected to laptop(Asus Tuf A15).
Monitor only has a vga port so i'm using hdmi to vga convertor, it is working on another laptop which has same native resolution as that of the monitor so i guess no fault in any cables or convertor.
Monitor is detected in windows settings and when set to extended i cannot see the cursor but it is going to the second screen. It's just black

The native reso of monitor is 1366x768 but when I change the resolution to same, the active signal remains 1920x1080. I can set the ASR to 1360x768 though but its not working

Attaching snips from windows settings.

So you do get extended display at the lower resolution - correct?
No, not getting display at any resolution whatsoever

The monitor is the same as you mentioned
About the laptop, that is just the native resolution mentioned in the website. I can lower it to any of the common resolutions. I tried matching the resolution to my monitor that too doesn't work.

Also I forgot to add that, the laptop has integrated vega graphics and a dedicated nvidia gtx 1650,

for video output there are two options:
  1. USB C that supports dp1.4
  2. HDMI 2.0
The adapter I bought is a generic one that did not mention the HDMI version (not sure if it matters).
