Trouble with acer laptop

I have an acer laptop the problem is it's showing that my wireless connection is on but when I try to go on to Internet it says no connection

Model of the laptop? Full connection or limited? Win 7, 8, 8.1? How long has this been happening? Does a re-connection fix the issue?

Acer aspire v5 showing full connection . Win 8. Only had laptop 4wks , been trying the re-connection but no joy

1) can you try a wired connection?
2) can you try connecting to a different wireless network elsewhere?
3) delete known networks, turn off automatic connections, keep the wifi NIC disconnected. Restart the laptop. Connect to the wifi network. If it still not working, disconnect the wifi. Wait for about 2 min with it disconnected. Reconnect to that same network. Check to see if it works.

Acer aspire v5-122p only had it 4wks. Not recieving internet connection . Also have I pad 2 which is recieving connection

I have had exactly the same problem as Jean57 with an Acer aspire V5. Worked fine for three weeks then no internet connection when WiFi clearly connected. Tech support is little help, insisting must be compatibility issue with automatically downloaded Windows updates. However, no patch yet has worked.

Oh dear, yes i've been having the same problems with my acer e1-752 (win 8), however, most of the time it cant even find any connections. My other laptop (win 7) connects just fine, have had countless conversations with tech support but no joy. Did anyone end up finding a solution?

Newer wifi drivers have been causing issues. You need to download an older win 7 driver and remove both the current driver and backup driver before installing the older version driver.
