Hey guys so i just got a new school laptop in (online highschool) and wanted to get AIM so i could talk to my friends. However it asked for an admin password which i dont have...SO i used some utilities to clear the password of all 4 accounts that were set up, and now when i try to install AIM, i enter Administrator (one of the cleared password usernames) and leave the password field blank (Because its cleared) and what i get is: there are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request

Im not using a server or anything just this one computer, can anyone shed some light on what i need to do.

Solution
Try This:

Start > Account settings (your user logo) > Turn User Account Control on or off > Uncheck "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" > press OK and restart.

then windows won't ask you for such privileges.

AS for the "AIM" issue i can't help you much with it as i don't even know what is 'AIM'.

NOTE: Don't do this if you don't have a decent security program (Kaspersky or BitDefender) as it'll greatly decrease your security level however with a good ant-virus you'll be good to go.

Regards.
