I just got done building my new computer, I plugged it in, and power is going to everything, all fans are spinning, but I'm getting no display, monitor is just going back to standby, i know the best idea is to try booting up with a diff gfx card but thats not an option right now, have their been any problems like this with this card?+

1. Try to re-seat the video card into the AGP slot (sometimes, you have the feeling that it's fully inserted, when it's not)

2. Make sure that you have also powered the video card (the Molex connector of the R9800 Pro)

3. Try a different power connector for the video card (prefferably one that has no other device on it)

4. What PSU did you say you were using? Try booting with a minimum of devices attached (remove CD-ROM's, CD-RW's, extra HDD-s etc). Maybe the PSU just can't handle it (I bought a new PSU just for the 9800 Pro)

no beep, but I found out the problem. My power supply went bad. One of the power connectors that was going to the floppy drive started to smoke. It blew out the floppy drive and the power supply.

Just out of curiosity what kind of power supply?
