Trouble with Cooling Fan

Hello, I just bought a new mobo, processor and case. Along with it I got a cheap cooling fan ($9.99). The problem is, i'm looking at this thing and I have no idea what these two clips on the side do. I've checked tom's how to articles, and the clips on the side of this fan are much diffrent than the ones shown in toms pictures.

Instead of a large clip on each side, there is only 1 tiny clip. I'm afraid of screwing up the installation of the fan and destroying my processor.

This is my first time accually installing a CPU from scratch, and I'm a bit nervous on doing this wrong. Luckily I checked here first and found out I need thermal paste.

Any help would be appricated. Is there a better fan I should look for?

(BTW, installing a Duron 1.3ghz on a K7S5A mobo)

as long as the fan you got is rated for the cpu you got its fine. you may only have the kind of clip that clips onto the middle post only. just make sure you dont put it on backwards.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal
