Trouble with Flashing BIOS

Hey guys, for those who may or may not know - I've been trying to get my old Dell Dimension working for months now - And I finally got it up and loaded today!

The BIOS for this machine is A10 and the latest from DELL is A12 - The BIOS Flash is an EXE so don't you just run in it from the desktop?

When I do this, it says Flash Access Denied - Please try logging on as an Administrator and restart the app. Problem is..I am an Administrator - The only admin on the computer.

If I'm supposed to boot with it, how do I do that.

most dell bios make a floppy disk that you boot from. look at the bios notes on dell web page to see if this bios is one of them.

disable user account control settings as it blocks the application
