Trouble with FPS dropping

So I was on my gaming PC and it crashed. This has never happened before so I waited a while to turn it back on. After turning it back on, i noticed a huge drop in FPS in all of my games. After reinstalling my GPU, I am still having this problem. Any suggestions.

PC Specs
i5 4590
GTX 960
16gb RAM

Depends. What was the error when it crashed?

what game did you play?

Do you have any program that shows your pc specs? If so give it a look and see what is your core clock frequency. Your probably pushed your graphics too much (your gtx 960 is a good gpu though).
Try cpu-z or speccy .

Try device manager > GT960 > disable > enable >restart

In many cases you have to disable restart , enable , restart

Happened to me when i overclocked my gpu , core clock went at 405 mhz (idle clock speed)
