i have an Asus fx505dy with a rx560x, when i try to run call of duty vanguard it will only run on the vega 8 intergrated graphic and i cant get it to change no matter what i try, these are the things ive tried
  • made sure drivers are up to date
  • manually changed the gpu adaptor in the game settings which led to the game restarting but still using the vega 8 instead of the rx560x
  • told it to use the rx560x through the graphic settings in windows
  • went into task manager under performance with a different game to make sure the gpu was working and seems to work with other games
  • device manager says the gpu is working correctly
  • checked for but could not find a place in the radeon graphic software to set it as the primary gpu (didnt see a switchable graphics or workload option)
  • turned the intergrated graphics off though device manager the launched the game, which only led to the game not launching
if anyone has a solution to this i would love to know it.

Make sure your laptop is on the latest BIOS version. Use DDU to uninstall your GPU drivers(all of them) and then manually reinstall your GPU driver using the latest from AMD's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

What OS are you working with?
