Trouble with Netscape messenger

Under Win 98, I've had that problem for a while now and
cannot "fix" it...Netscape messenger sistematicaly crashes
when I open a message that displays a jpg image. It works
with everything else, just not jpg.
Here's the error message:

Could anyone tell me what could the problem be?
I have re-installed Netscape (4.75) many times now, but
I cannot get rid of this problem.

As far as I know, Netscape Messenger is AIM that can be launched easily from Communicator. Correct me if I'm wrong...

If I were you, download the latest version of IE (5.5 sp1) or, if you're Anti-IE, Netscape 6 is far better than 4.75. Regardless, use AIM separate from whatever browser you're going to use.

Netscape Messanger is the email program that comes with Netscape. I would try removing the program via control panel. Then search through the windows registry and remove anything related to Netscape. Also delete the netscape folder in your c:\Program Files. Then delete that .dll file and re-install it all. Tha might work. If all else fails try using Eudora or Outlook Express, both are really easy to setup.
