trouble with on board video

It should be "plug and play" with your graphics - you just need to determine what cable to connect the 2nd monitor. If you are using HDMI now, I would suggest using DVI to connect the 2nd monitor, or if you are using DVI now, use the HDMI to connect the 2nd monitor. You can use VGA - but the quality of picture won't be as good.

Make sure when you get the monitor that it is compatible with the proper connection (i.e. HDMI or DVI).

in intel newer efi bios look for priamany display in the bios. if you want the ipgpu to be the main video set it to ipgpu if you want the gpu card to be the first video set it to peg/pci. then under that line will be line that says mulity monitor support. some bios have it set to on or auto some are off and you have to turn it on. once you turn it on and reboot the intel chipset will show up under device manager.

And my other monitor is a dvd-d and vga

I have first monitor connected to vga, and when I connect second one to dvi-d it is not seen at all. Have looked on intel site and there do have issues with hd4600 on board video

I have intel on board HD 4600 card, and looking on intel site I am not the only person having issues with the on board video and second monitor.
