trouble with ssd

I built this computer right and it says as a potential upgrade it noted Samsung 950 PRO M.2 SSD
i took it as replace Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD but when i was thinking maybe he meant have both so did i do it right and go with the potential upgrade or was i supposed to have both

You would buy one or the other, you don't need both. The 950 Pro is much faster than the 850 EVO but be aware that you really won't notice that much of a difference between them. I have the 850 EVO and a 960 Pro M.2 and didn't notice much of an increase in overall system performance when i switched to the 960 Pro for my main drive. If you have the money though it is nice to have the faster drive.
